Bodegas Tandem Casual Rose 2023
Type: Rosé (Sustainable / Low-Intervention)
Region: Navarra, Spain
Grapes: 100% Garnacha
Alcohol ABV: 13.5%
Tasting Profile and Key Notes:
Fresh and vibrant, with aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, red currant, rose petals and violets, complemented by subtle candy notes. Light to medium-bodied with crisp acidity, a silky texture and a long, refreshing finish with delicate mineral character.
Winemaking:
The grapes undergo a short pre-fermentative skin maceration of around three hours using the traditional Navarra sangrado(saignée) method to achieve its delicate pale pink colour. The free-run juice ferments spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in underground concrete vats at an average temperature of 16°C. After fermentation, the wine is aged on its fine lees in concrete tanks with regular lees stirring to build texture and complexity before bottling.
Farming:
The fruit comes from sustainably farmed vineyards in the Yerri Valley of Navarra, where a cool microclimate and chalky clay soils promote slow ripening and excellent freshness. The vineyards are managed with minimal intervention, respecting the natural balance of the vines and surrounding ecosystem. Bodega Tandem focuses on sustainable viticulture and vegan winemaking, producing elegant wines that faithfully express the character of their terroir.
