Delinquente Wine Co. Weeping Juan 2024

MYR 200.00

Type: Sparkling Rosé (Pét-Nat / Natural / Low-Intervention)
Region: Riverland, South Australia, Australia
Grapes: 75% Vermentino, 25% Nero d'Avola
Alcohol ABV: 10.5%

Tasting Profile and Key Notes:
Bright, juicy and wildly refreshing, with aromas of strawberry, cranberry, pomegranate, blood orange, ginger and rose petals. Light-bodied with fine natural bubbles, vibrant acidity and a crisp, dry finish, balanced by a subtle saline note that makes it incredibly drinkable.

Winemaking:
The Vermentino and Nero d'Avola are harvested separately from organically grown vineyards and gently direct-pressed to preserve freshness and purity. Each variety undergoes spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel before being blended while fermentation is still active and bottled to complete fermentation naturally using the ancestral (Pét-Nat) method. The wine is bottled unfined, unfiltered and undisgorged with minimal intervention, retaining its lively texture and natural character.

Farming:
The fruit is sourced from Bassham's certified organic and biodynamic vineyard in Barmera, Riverland. The warm Mediterranean climate, cool nights and sandy soils help produce grapes with vibrant fruit, balanced acidity and excellent freshness. Delinquente Wine Co. works exclusively with organically farmed southern Italian varieties, focusing on healthy soils, sustainable viticulture and expressive, minimal-intervention wines.
