Dennis Wolf Riesling 2021

MYR 280.00

Type: White (Natural / Biodynamic / Low-Intervention)
Region: Pfalz, Germany
Grapes: 100% Riesling
Alcohol ABV: 11.5%

Tasting Profile and Key Notes:
Fresh and beautifully precise, with aromas of green apple, white peach, mirabelle plum, lime zest and subtle smoky minerality. Light to medium-bodied with lively acidity, a finely textured palate and a long, dry finish showing notes of citrus, wet stone, herbs and a delicate hint of black tea. Despite its concentration, the wine remains elegant and highly drinkable.

Winemaking:
The wine is a blend of Riesling from four vineyard parcels, including fruit from prestigious Grosses Gewächs sites, each vinified separately before blending. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in old oak barrels and stainless steel, followed by an extended 25 months on full lees to build texture and complexity. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered using gravity, with minimal intervention, preserving its purity and distinctive natural character.

Farming:
The grapes come from organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards around Großkarlbach and Laumersheim in the Pfalz, including Kirschgarten, Großer Garten, Kapellenberg and Dackenheimer Weg. The vineyards feature a mix of limestone, gravel, loess and alluvial soils, contributing depth, minerality and freshness to the final blend. Dennis Wolf farms with a strong focus on healthy soils, manual harvesting and minimal intervention, allowing each vineyard to express its unique character while producing Rieslings of exceptional precision and energy.
