Aroma: Intensely aromatic, revealing vibrant blackberries, juicy black cherries, and wild blueberries intertwined with violet florals and fresh cracked black pepper. Palate: Vibrant and energetic with remarkable freshness, combining ripe blackberries, wild blueberries, and black cherries with refined, velvety tannins and bright natural acidity. Layers of black pepper, smoked herbs, olive tapenade, graphite, and warm spices unfold across the palate, creating impressive depth without heaviness. The texture is silky yet structured, leading to a long, mineral-driven finish that is savoury, peppery, and exceptionally drinkable.

Winemaking

Produced as part of Domaine de l'Ecu's Love & Grapes project, which collaborates with organically farmed vineyards beyond the Loire Valley. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented using indigenous yeasts with minimal intervention to preserve purity and freshness. The wine is vinified without fining or filtration, allowing the fruit and terroir to speak naturally while maintaining a vibrant, easy-drinking style.

Farming

The Syrah is sourced from organically farmed vineyards in the Southern Rhône, where Mediterranean sunshine, cooling mistral winds, and stony soils encourage healthy vines and concentrated fruit. Following Domaine de l'Ecu's philosophy, only growers committed to certified organic or biodynamic viticulture are selected, reflecting a strong respect for biodiversity, soil health, and sustainable farming.
