Domaine Gramenon La Vie On Y Est 2023

MYR 260.00

Type: White (Natural / Biodynamic / Low-Intervention)
Region: Côtes du Rhône, Rhône Valley, France
Grapes: 30% Viognier, 25% Clairette, 20% Bourboulenc, 20% Grenache Blanc
Alcohol ABV: 13%

Tasting Profile and Key Notes:
Elegant and expressive, with aromas of white peach, apricot, pear, white flowers and citrus zest, layered with hints of almond, herbs and saline minerality. Medium-bodied with a silky texture, vibrant freshness and a long, mineral-driven finish balancing Viognier’s richness with Clairette’s brightness.

Winemaking:
The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted before fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine undergoes natural fermentation and ageing for around six months in stainless steel to preserve freshness, purity and the expressive character of the Rhône varieties. Minimal sulphur is used, with total SO₂ kept very low, and the wine is bottled with a natural approach to maintain its authentic terroir expression.

Farming:
The vineyards are located on the Gramenon hillside and plateau near Montbrison-sur-Lez in the southern Rhône, at around 300–350 metres elevation. The vines are farmed biodynamically on a combination of clay-limestone, sandy soils and siliceous sandstone terroir, which contributes freshness, minerality and aromatic complexity. Domaine Gramenon focuses on regenerative vineyard practices, biodiversity and natural balance, allowing each grape variety and vintage to express its full character.
