Aroma:
An expressive Alsatian orange wine with aromas of apricot, peach, candied citrus, and orange peel. Floral notes of rose and carnation are layered with hints of vanilla, dried herbs, and subtle spice. The combination of Riesling’s freshness, Pinot Gris’ richness, and Sylvaner’s herbal character creates a complex and aromatic profile.
Palate:
Fresh, textured, and elegant with moderate tannins from skin contact. Flavours of ripe peach, apricot, orange zest, and yellow fruit are balanced by bright acidity and a savoury mineral backbone. The wine has a gentle grip, slight oxidative complexity, and a clean finish with notes of citrus peel, herbs, and salinity.
A Hug For You is made using a natural winemaking approach with grapes grown under organic and biodynamic principles. Riesling and Pinot Gris are gently direct-pressed, while Sylvaner undergoes whole-cluster skin maceration for around 14 days, adding tannin, texture, and aromatic complexity. Fermentation occurs naturally with indigenous yeasts, followed by approximately 12 months of ageing in fiberglass tanks. The wine is bottled without clarification or stabilisation, with no or minimal sulphur added.
Du Vin aux Liens is a natural wine project focused on working with growers who practise respectful farming methods, including organic and biodynamic viticulture. The wines are made with minimal intervention, allowing each vineyard and grape variety to express its natural character. The Alsace region’s cool continental climate and mineral-rich soils provide the freshness and aromatic intensity that define this wine style.
