The grapes are organically farmed, hand-harvested, and fermented spontaneously using indigenous yeasts with a low-intervention approach. The wine is made without added sulphur, unfined, and unfiltered, preserving the purity of the fruit and the natural expression of the vineyard. A small amount of natural residual sugar contributes to the wine’s lively fruit character and round texture.
The grapes come from Sunawi’s organically certified vineyard in Lombardy, planted on calcareous morainic soils shaped by the glacial landscape of northern Italy. The vines are cultivated without chemical inputs, with a focus on biodiversity and natural vineyard balance, allowing the Chiaretto grapes to express freshness, minerality, and a strong sense of place.
