Winemaking:
The grapes are hand-harvested from old Aligoté vines and fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged in old French oak barrels, allowing the texture and complexity of the variety to develop while maintaining its natural freshness and energy. It is bottled with minimal intervention, without added sulphur, preserving the pure expression of the fruit and terroir.
Farming:
The vineyards are located in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits of Burgundy, where Yann Durieux farms Aligoté with the same care usually reserved for prestigious Burgundy sites. The vines are cultivated organically and biodynamically, with a focus on biodiversity, healthy soils and natural vineyard balance. The combination of limestone-rich soils, cool climate and careful farming gives Love & Pif its distinctive minerality, tension and elegance.
